Don’t Worry – God Will Take Care of You!

dont-worry

What an awesome word picture!

If God takes care of the birds and flowers, how much more will He take care of you if you will just trust Him. Instead of looking at your problems, set your eyes on Him and don’t let the cares of the world drag you down.

Trust, try, and prove him to see what He will do in your life.

Can you Trust God like Mary and Joseph did?

What an awesome God we have!

He sent His Only Son Jesus to earth to live as a man so that He could experience the same things we do – only He did all of it without sin.

What kind of faith must Mary and Joseph have had in order to carry forth God’s marvelous plan of salvation. They couldn’t have fully understood everything that was happening, but I marvel at how they just trusted God to take care of every detail.

God works in ways that you won’t always understand. Can you trust Him to bring about His Best for your life even though you can’t see how all the details fit together?

Faith: The foundation for real things!

faith

When you decide to do weight lifting, you either use your own equipment or go to the gym. Then you decide on a plan of action that coincides with your desired effect. Lastly, you must be disciplined enough not to let other things distract you from your goal. If you don’t do these things, you probably won’t attain the lean, toned, and muscled body that you started out to achieve.

Hebrews 11: 1 –  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

If you do your weight lifting exercises correctly and diligently, it won’t be long before it is noticeable that your plan is working; you can see it with your own eyes.

True faith works in the same way as exercise because it helps you to become a person with whom God is pleased. The difference between the two is you can’t always see the results of faith immediately. It is something you do on a daily basis that is between you and God. He wants you to learn to know Him so well that you have no doubts that what He has told you will come to pass. You just believe Him – PERIOD.

In the Greek substance means a setting under (support), figuratively concrete essence; confidence.

Faith gives reality or real substance to things hoped for. It is a basis, or foundation, for support. It is the real thing.

God desires your obedience, but He wants something even more – your ability to believe you can receive from Him BEFORE you have seen it. You can’t just order God to do whatever you want, but when He tells you something, He wants you to know His Character so well that you have no doubt that whatever He told you will come to pass. Then when it does, you are not surprised because you have been waiting for it to happen, you just didn’t know exactly when it would happen.

God loves you much more than you could ever imagine. Trust Him with everything going on in your life right now – He wants to meet your every need.

Patience is a form of Action!

I would love to give credit, but I have no idea of the author. It sure gives a great word picture of what can happen when we rebel and determine to do things our own way no matter what God says. Sometimes I think it takes Him much longer to answer our prayers because we have messed things up trying to make something happen ourselves. Then He has to undo our damage before He can make things right.

All the while, then, we find ourselves thinking about how slow God is. If we could just see things from His perspective, we would find that we can trust Him with every detail and know that He will work everything out for the best.

I came across an anonymous quote the other day that I put in a place where I can see it every day to help me remember its point:

PATIENCE IS ALSO A FORM OF ACTION

God loves His Children with a love that we can’t even imagine. Trust Him to supply your needs and work on your behalf.

What happens sometimes when we try to do it ourselves!

Has your life been radically changed?

church-mice-sm

What an awesome miracle salvation is. Jesus died on the cross for the sin of every person and bridged the gap so that man could reach God. We can never do anything to pay him back for what He did for us.

Now we can pray to our Heavenly Father personally and know that He hears us, with Jesus interceding on our behalf. What an awesome God that can totally wash away our sin and make us clean, pure, and holy.

Oh that we could really comprehend what Jesus did for us on the cross; it would radically change our lives forever.

A Story – Have you cleaned your windows lately?

When I read the story below I couldn’t help but think of how easy it sometimes is for me to see the faults of others and totally disregard my own faults. I have been asking God to clean my windows so that I can see clearly to get rid of the “stuff” in my life that He is not pleased with.

When my life is clean, He can use me to help others grow in their relationship with Him.

Luke 6: 41 – 45

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye but do not notice or consider the beam [of timber] that is in your own eye?

Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, allow me to take out the speck that is in your eye, when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? You actor (pretender, hypocrite)! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

For there is no good (healthy) tree that bears decayed (worthless, stale) fruit, nor on the other hand does a decayed (worthless, sickly) tree bear good fruit.

For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thorn-bushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a bramble-bush.

The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.

(These words of Jesus are taken from the Amplified Version with the ( ) being what the word means in the Greek. The [ ] are used to make the sentence read more clearly.)

A Story – Have your Cleaned your Windows Lately?

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.

The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

“That laundry is not very clean,” she said. “She doesn’t know how to wash correctly.  Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.” Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: “Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.  I wonder who taught her this?”

The husband said, “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.”

Let God get rid of the beam of timber in your eyes so that He can radically use you to help others do the same.

What kind of example are you?

Is your life a good example for others to follow? This is something that every Christian should take very seriously. Somebody is always watching what you do, even though you may never know it.

Live with integrity all the time and you won’t ever have to worry about others seeing you do something that is questionable. If you do the right thing when nobody is watching, you won’t have a problem doing it when you have an audience.

Ask God to help you live your life so others can see Jesus in you.
